Questions buyers ask before sourcing with Signumi
Is Signumi free?
No, Signumi is a paid tool. You can make a free account to explore the tool, but your functionality will be limited in features and time. You will have to upgrade to a paid subscription to continue using the tool.
What data does Signumi contain?
Signumi is built on official data for European companies: active companies with financial statements, director information, shareholder structures, NACE codes, and address data. The data is regularly updated from official sources. Signumi also developed an in-house algorithm that predicts director age, so you can identify when entrepreneurs may be open to a sale. We mapped company websites as well, which lets us define lookalikes for each company and benchmark those lookalikes against each other.
How do I use Signumi through Claude?
Connect Signumi as an MCP connector in Claude via Settings -> Connectors. Add it as a custom connector using https://mcp.signumi.com/mcp, then connect and log in with your Signumi credentials.
Can I also work through ChatGPT or other tools?
Yes. Signumi supports the MCP protocol and is compatible with every platform that supports MCP servers. Claude is the primary and most complete integration, but other MCP-compatible environments work too.
How accurate is the financial data?
The financial data comes directly from annual accounts. For small companies that file abbreviated accounts, revenue data is not publicly available. We calculate EBITDA based on the official formula from the European Accounting Standards.
Can I export a list or generate a document?
In the Signumi app, you can add companies to a list or export them with the buttons in the top-right corner. Through Claude, every search can become a scored shortlist, a Word deal sheet on A4, or a sector report.
What does the Signumi profile link mean?
In a search prompt, you can add: “Show Signumi link”. Signumi will then show a profile link for each result. Click it to open the complete company profile in the Signumi web application.
How can you contact company owners?
Where possible, we have already added director email addresses in Signumi. You can find them in the Team tab and contact interesting companies directly. If you prefer not to make the first contact yourself, use the Book a meeting with the Owner button and we will contact the owner anonymously for you.
